We did it, my friend!
The Garage is here!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello there!
How are you? I’ve missed you so much.
But first, accept my apologies.
I have wanted to pen this email for quite some time now, but I have struggled to find the right words to convey the excitement and emotions that this message carries.
Regardless, that is no excuse. I promised to let you know first whenever there was an update from The Garage. I failed, and I am genuinely sorry. I would do my best to do better. 🙏
Now to the fun stuff. 🎉
6 months ago, we commenced an excruciating journey to impact remote, student-dominated areas across the country with infrastructure that made work easier for them. We wanted to build smart co-working facilities that gave people like us access to uninterrupted power supply, high speed internet, and most importantly, a strong community to support their efforts.
Last week, we picked up a badge in this journey, as we officially opened the first ever Garage, located at the heart of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. To celebrate this, we hosted a small invite-only brunch with several key stakeholders within the University’s Student Union Government and Tech community, you can find pictures from the event here and here.
At the launch, we shared the inspiration behind this project with them, and the excitement was evident in the room, as several of our guests highlighted how much this would impact their personal and work lives.
This couldn’t have been possible without your love and support, and I want to specially thank you and congratulate you on this amazing feat. This was you! YOU did it!! WE did it!!!
That said, it is an honor to inform you all, that The Garage is officially open for business. If you see this before Monday, you can come around and enjoy use of the Garage free of charge. Or you can just come around and say hi, then stay around to enjoy a bit of our 200mb/s starlink network.

I’m showing off, i know.
The password for today is “freedemo.” Shh🤫 don’t tell anyone so I don’t lose my job.
The past week was crazy in a lot of weird ways, - my singleness became a subject for public giggles and ridicule, I’ve barely gotten any sleep all week and I look like a zombie, but I wouldn’t trade this crazy for anything else. This was a perfect week, in every sense of the word, and I have especially loved meeting some of you at The Garage.
I hope that this week is even crazier for you, that you get to experience all of the positive emotions that came my way this week, and that when you can spare a minute, that you say a prayer for me to stop being single, because, as the good book says, “A mechanic needs a partner.”
I’d do my best to talk to you soon, but until then, see you at The Garage!
I love you.
Ray.
